The School of Engineering and Sciences PTSA Rocket Boosters is
part of the national PTA organization committed to supporting
children from birth through age 18.
Your voting membership affects not only the approximately 400
students at the School of Engineering and Sciences but also
affects the approximately 9 million children statewide and
billions of children nationwide, making a difference in the
education and quality of life for all children.
This year we've decided to change the name of our PTSA (Parent
Teacher Student Association) group to the PTSA Rocket Boosters.
The Boosters do all sorts of things to help support the school,
including fundraising and sponsoring events. Please contact one

The California Department of Education recently published a
letter to all 11th grade students outlining the benefits to the
2012 Early Assessment Program (EAP) that is part of the
California Standards Tests.
The EAP lets you know if you are ready for college level
coursework in English and mathematics. Please select the link

"Cyberbullying" is when a child is tormented, threatened,
harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by
another child, using digital technologies such as the Internet,
or mobile phones.
Many of our parents are enjoying communications with SES via
email. It makes everyone's lives easier and more productive.
However, some of our parents have not shared their email
addresses with us and then we have to make phone calls or send
regular mail.
In a push to keep everyone informed in a timely manner, we are
asking you to help us by providing your email here. It only takes
a minute and it will save the school valuable time and money. If
you are already receiving emails, then we obviously have yours
and you can disregard all this.
