The Sacramento City Unified School District now requires all team
sports at the middle school level follow the same guidelines as
high schools pertaining to physicals, concussion and
transportation.
Adults that provide transportation will be required to have
documentation on file.
The following forms are required before students can be
transported to certain extra-currecular events such as sports or
field trips. You can fill them out on the computer if you like,
but you will still need to print and sign them.
Zangle ParentConnection is a web-based application you can
use on any computer with Internet access. It provides parents
secured access to a wide array of information, including
district, school, and classroom news; student demographics;
student schedules; attendance activity; class assignments; report
forms & progress reports; transcripts; standardized testing
results; and e-mail links to teachers, counselors, and school
administrators. It is a very powerful tool to help you keep track
of your student's progress here at SES.
This form is formatted to allow you to fill it out on the
computer with most PDF reader programs like Adobe Acrobat Reader
or Preview on a Mac and in many web browsers that support fill-in
form PDF documents. Once filled out you can print the document
for signing. Click the link below to get the form:
It is almost that time again for the SES Summer Reading Program!
Please download the word documents that pertain to your
student...either Middle School or High School and please make
sure they pick their books from the correct reading list (for the
grade level they will be next year!)
Current students will be learning more about the Required Summer
Reading Program in their English classes.
Incoming studnets can get all of the information here on the
website.
Please ask your English teachers if you have questions or contact
Ms.
All students entering grades 7-12 this fall must show proof of
receiving their TDAP (tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis) booster
before they can attend school in September! This
applies to every current student, new student and transfer
student. Please bring proof of this booster to school to be
reviewed and recorded.
The 2011-2012 school year is just around the corner so we wanted
to give this information out as soon as possible!
Please review the district approved revisions to the Parent
Handbook, the Dress Code and the Activities and Athletics
Handbook so you are aware of the policies and procedures at SES
before the school year begins!
Please complete this survey about Parent Engagement and
Involvement and return it by January 7, 2011 to Marla Clayton in
the front office or by email at marla-clayton@scusd.edu. This
survey will help us determine how to improve our parent
engagement and will be included in our School Development and
Improvement Plan.
Dress Code: All students shall dress in a manner
that reflects self-respect and the fact that they are in an
academic setting. The following guidelines have been established
to help students accomplish this goal.
1. Clothing and/or jewelry that advertises drugs, alcohol, or
tobacco, has suggestive or obscene materials written or displayed
may not be worn. Vulgar, obscene or violent messages on clothing
will be treated as vulgar/obscene language or expression.
2. PE uniforms are only to be worn in PE classes.

SES is firmly committed to providing a book for each student. As a small school, we must manage our budget carefully and cannot afford to replace lost and damaged books.
Students will be held responsible for damages to or loss of books due to theft, loss or negligence. We will not charge for use of books or normal wear and tear. For damage, partial fees may be assessed.
