During Orientation parents and studens will visit various stations to ensure thorough understanding of expectations, policies, and procedures. Students arriving should go to the Multipurpose room and check in with a parent volunteer, where they will be given a packet of information (handbook, calendar, dress code agreement and sign-off sheet).
They will then hear presentations from teachers and administrators. After the presentations students will return the sign off sheet. Everyone will get time to complete emergency cards, lunch applications and dress code agreements. After the forms are turned in students can pick up textbooks, class schedules, and purchase school uniforms.
Orientation is a time commitment for all involved, however, we feel that this will lead to a smooth transition into the new school year, lessening discipline issues and prioritizing our academic focus.
If you are unable to commit to your assigned grade level
orientation day, feel free to come to any of the other two.
