8th Grade Parents:  The planning is underway for two special events. Please fill out and return the attached pdf no later than February 12, 2012.  

The 8th Grade BBQ/swim party and promotion ceremony events are not sponsored by the school.  However, our PTSA and parents have made great strides these last four years in providing a BBQ (lunch) swim party and 8th grade promotion ceremony with invitations, refreshments, decorations for our 8th graders and families.

The 8th Grade Committee is hoping that all students attend.  The pool rental fee with lifeguards is around $350, which we have committed to.  Students have so much fun just getting together with classmates.  Some choose not to swim but enjoy volleyball, ping-pong, food, lawn chess, desserts, and a day away for a field trip.  

You might want to think about coming as a chaperone as there are several areas that we need parents' help, and lunch is free for parents who help that day.  We also have teachers who offer to chaperone and help out.

If we are short of funds, we plan on helping those parents by having a carwash fundraiser on a Saturday in March, which that student (and optional their parent/guardian) will help.
